Disability Management

Disability Management

The Disability Management Program is designed to assist individuals with disabilities or their departments in providing reasonable accommodation. The goal of our program is to reduce the time away from work due to disability through light duty for temporary restrictions and provide reasonable accommodations for qualified individuals with disabilities.

Goals of Disability Management Program

· Identify and reduce workplace hazards, and to prevent injuries.
· Support employees in recovery from injury or illness by providing temporary, modified or alternative work when possible.
· Minimize the absence from work and the resulting impact the absence has on employees, their families, and the organization.
· Reduce worker’s compensation and other disability related costs.
· Identify and effectively manage potential long-term disability and permanent disability costs.
· Training in ergonomics, workers' compensation and prevention of injuries to ensure services provided in a timely manner.
