The Benefits Office offers many different workshops for employees to learn about their benefits and retirement opportunities.  You will find that the university offers a comprehensive and competitive benefits package.

New Employee Benefits Orientation

This orientation is provided every first and third Friday of every month from 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Human Resources, 1160 University Ave., Suite I. New employees should obtain their campus parking permits from Transportation and Parking Services prior to the orientation. Designated parking is located in the rear of the Human Resources building for blue or red permits. If employees do not have a permit, they can park at University Village which is located accross the street, the Service Plus Credit Union will validate parking. Please contact Transportation and Parking Services at extension 21294 or (951) 827-8277 if you have questions related to parking.

New employees now need to sign-up online at http://hrtraining.ucr.edu  and "Create a Profile."  All university medical and retirement benefits will be explained and a question and answer period will be provided; they will also receive all materials relating to their benefits.  Employees have 31 days from their date of hire to sign-up for their benefits either online at http://atyourservice.ucop.edu or by phone at 1-800-888-8267.  For employees who transfer from another UC campus or employees whose appointment may have changed, will need to complete a UPAY 850 form to sign-up for their benefits.  It is advisable, if possible, that employees attend this orientation prior to signing up for their benefits so they can make the best choice.

The DBR meeting is intended for Supervisors, MSOs, Payroll and Benefit Assistants.

Fidelity Investments Workshops
Fidelity Investments will be presenting DCP, 403(b) and 457(b) workshops that include an overview of the UC Retirement, Defined Contribution, 403(b) and 457(b) plans, investment options, transfers, rollovers, and retirement planning. The workshops are free.
